NBIM opposes outright repeal of U.S. climate-reporting requirements

It said narrative disclosures add analytical context to financial statements and inform investment decisions, shareholder voting and risk-management processes. NBIM said alternatives to outright rescission could address the SEC’s concerns about scope and cost while preserving a baseline of financially material disclosure. Reuters reported that NBIM managed more than $2 trillion at the end of 2025 and had 53% of investments in the United States.
