PIF-backed Humain partners with DataVolt on NEOM AI data-centre phase
PIF-backed AI company Humain has partnered with DataVolt on approximately 100 MW of the first phase of a planned data centre at Oxagon in NEOM. Reuters reported that the facility is expected to be available in 2028 and forms part of DataVolt's planned AI campus, illustrating the PIF-backed company's stated capacity ambitions.
Reuters reported that Humain and DataVolt will develop approximately 100 MW in the first phase of a planned data centre at Oxagon, NEOM’s industrial city on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast. The facility is expected to integrate renewable energy, advanced cooling technologies and high-performance computing clusters, with availability expected in 2028. The project forms part of DataVolt’s 360 MW first-phase AI data-centre campus and a wider planned 1.5 GW campus. Humain, established in 2025 and backed by the Public Investment Fund, is targeting 6 GW of capacity by 2034.
