Temasek and Khazanah back Granite Asia's private-credit strategy
Reuters reported that Temasek and Khazanah Nasional were anchor backers of Granite Asia's Libra Hybrid pan-Asian private-credit strategy, which raised more than its $500 million target. The report placed the commitment alongside increasing private-credit allocations among Asian institutional investors and a $1 billion Asia-Pacific direct-lending mandate secured by Partners Group.
Granite Asia said its Libra Hybrid pan-Asian strategy raised more than its $500 million target. Reuters reported that anchor backers included Singapore state investor Temasek, Malaysia’s Khazanah Nasional and the Indonesia Investment Authority; the fund had completed eight transactions and realised two exits. Reuters also reported that Partners Group had secured a $1 billion private-credit mandate from a major Asian institutional investor for senior and junior direct lending across Asia-Pacific. Partners Group said sovereign wealth funds and insurers, particularly in Southeast Asia and Japan, were increasing private-credit allocations.
